Langhorne Council for the Arts invites YOU
to become involved in the arts in our community!

Nearly 12 years ago, a small group of artists, writers, and supporters of the arts came together to form the Langhorne Council for the Arts (LCA), dedicated to providing creative outlets and fostering appreciation for the arts in the Langhorne community. In 1998, Langhorne Council for the Arts, Langhorne Borough, and Langhorne Open Space, Inc., joined forces to create a center for the creative arts at Langhorne Heritage Farm by providing studio space for artists, writers, and musicians.  To date, more than 20 "Artists-at-the-Farm" have found peace and inspiration in studios converted from chicken coops, stalls, and other outbuildings on the Farm.

LCA has been actively bringing the arts to the community through a wide variety of events, including the Arts in the Garden Tour, Arts & Jazz Brunch, World Music concerts, and much more!

LCA Offers Beautiful Notecards

A number of very talented and generous LCA member artists have contributed their "tranquil scenes of Langhorne" to LCA's latest fundraiser.  Twelve original works of art from around Langhorne Borough now grace high-quality notecards.  Packaged with envelopes and tied up with a gossamer bow, these notecards are the perfect gift for friends, family, teachers, co-workers, indeed anyone who appreciates the arts!  Keep a pack or two on hand for hostess gitts, and don't forget to treat yourself, too!  Click here for ordering information.

Monkeying Around at the Langhorne Coffee House   6 - 10 pm
This month's "Artists on the Avenue" event features SOCK MONKEYS!  Who can resist?
Enjoy music, art, a special evening menu of treats, coffee, tea, or BYOB.

Friday, August 7
Doylestown's First Friday event will feature Langhorne musician Mark Arrington's duo, Vintage Country
 
Monday, August 31
All "Fabric of Life in Langhorne" Community Quilt squares and essays must be turned in to Judy's Corner Frame Shop on Bellevue Avenue in Langhorne Borough.

Saturday, Oct 3 -- Paint Out!  Experience arts, music, and other creative endeavors in the great outdoors.  Save the date.  Details to follow.
